During a special presentation at the August Homestead City Council meeting, Councilman Stephen R. Shelley introduced and welcomed new Executive Director of the Homestead/Florida City Chamber of Commerce Rosa Brito.
Brito has extensive experience in the Homestead business community, where she has been a real estate professional for more than 25 years. As a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Florida Association of Realtors she holds a designation, and is a certified distressed property expert. She also has more than 16 years of experience in the local nonprofit sector. Brito served as Executive Director of Art South, as a business manager for the South Miami Chamber of Commerce, and is currently serving as the Board Secretary for the local Patches PPEC advisory board.
Councilman Shelley said it was his distinct pleasure to introduce her to the community and that “the council looks forward to working with her in new ventures that will support the local business community and Homestead residents.”
Brito, who was named Executive Director of the Homestead/Florida City Chamber of Commerce in July 2012, said she is already working with the Chamber to address issues, and set goals for the betterment of our business community. “I promise that I will use my talent, energy and passion to take the chamber to a whole new level.”
