On Saturday, February 15, from 8am-5pm, thanks to the efforts of Mayor Jeff Porter in partnership with Miami-Dade County Animal Services, the City of Homestead’s JD Redd Park, will be hosting the first in a monthly series of dog spay and neuter events.
The spay and neuter procedure, while critical in preventing overpopulation and future health problems for your pet, may be cost prohibitive for some, which is what makes this event so important. If you claim one of the 10 available slots, you can have the procedure done at NO COST.
In addition, the MAC (Mobile Animal Clinic) will administer a DHPP vaccine and, if necessary, a Rabies vaccine FREE of charge. A reduced price for Microchip implants ($10) is also offered. All dog owners are also obligated to acquire a license for their pet at a later date at a cost of $27.
