WHAT: Parade & Pep Rally to celebrate first State Championship of South Dade Senior High Buccaneers Football Team
WHEN: Saturday, January 11 at 11:30 am.
WHERE: Parade route starts on Krome Ave. and S. Flagler St., travels north on Krome Ave. and turns east on Campbell Drive towards US-1 to end at North Flagler Ave. A Pep Rally following the parade will be held at 1:30 pm at Harris Field Park Football Stadium.
The City of Homestead invites the community to a historic parade and pep rally in celebration of South Dade Senior High first State Football Championship win. The entire State Champion Buccaneers football team will be accompanied by the school’s marching band, cheerleaders, floats distributing candy and many others representing city government, local businesses and community groups as they make their way down Krome Avenue through Historic Downtown Homestead.
Beginning at 11:30 am, the parade route will commence on the corner of South Flagler Street and Krome Avenue, travel north on Krome Avenue and turn east on Campbell Drive towards US-1 ending at North Flagler Avenue. The event culminates at Harris Field Football Stadium with a celebratory pep rally set to start at 1:30 pm. This family fun community event will celebrate the Bucs 41-28 historic victory over Apopka Senior High School in the 8A State Championship game. The win is the first state football championship in the school’s 60 year history.
Join the fun along Krome Avenue Saturday, January 11 at 11:30 am. Bring the whole family wearing the South Dade Senior High school colors royal blue and white and witness the celebration of this historic win for the entire South Dade community!
