[ARCHIVED] Councilman Stephen Shelley Recognizes City Employees for Making Military Appreciation Day a Success

A group of City of Homestead employees was recognized by Councilman Stephen R. Shelley for the support and outstanding professional contribution to the success of the City of Homestead’s second annual Military Appreciation Day that took place Saturday May 25th.

“Military Appreciation Day has become one of the most important events in the City of Homestead, observing the men, women, and families that make the ultimate sacrifice, so we may continue to enjoy our wonderful freedom and democracy,” said Councilman Shelley, Liaison to the Military Affairs Committee who spearheaded the organization of the event. “This is why I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the professionalism exhibited by our City staff during this most important event, without their efforts it would not have been a success.”

During an informal presentation at the William “Bill” Dickinson Community Center, Councilman Shelley rewarded certificates of recognition to employees Stephanie Abate, Leonel Alfaro, Gerrod Bodie, Travis Glasford, Howard Heyliger, James Laurent, Guadalupe Leal, Cassandra Lee, Antonio McKnight, Salena Meeks, Bernio Montinard, Lazaro Morales, Randy Morejon, Joseph Orinstein, Michael Ponce, Jenny Pybas, Anthony Ramirez, Gregorio Rios, Tyrone Taylor, Michael Tepedino, Eric Weiss, and Dwight Whipple.
