WHAT: Race to the 4th! Independence Day Celebration

WHEN: Monday, July 4, 2022 6PM – 10PM

WHERE: Homestead-Miami Speedway 1 Ralph Sanchez Speedway Blvd. Homestead, FL 33035

What do you get when you mix kids’ activities, food trucks, live music, and show stopping fireworks? The City of Homestead’s annual “Race to the 4th” event! The exciting spectacle is returning to its traditional format on Monday, July 4th from 6 PM to 10 PM at the Homestead Miami Speedway located at 1 Ralph Sanchez Speedway Blvd. Homestead, FL 33035.

Thousands of attendees will enjoy a spectacular evening that features dozens of food vendors, live music, and a kids zone with midway style games and attractions.  While the kids play, guests are encouraged to explore the Speedway and get their hearts racing as they feel the excitement of where hundreds of races have been held throughout the years. Attendees will be entertained by live music throughout the night to get them ready for the fireworks spectacle.  This salute to all things America will culminate with the best fireworks show in South Florida—a dazzling display of pyrotechnics synced to a mix of pop hits and patriotic tunes.

Please note that security checkpoints will be in use at this year’s event. All bags are subject to search and all guests must pass through a metal detector.

We would like to extend a thank you to our sponsors Brightview, Homestead Hospital, the Miami Herald, and El Nuevo Herald. The City of Homestead is currently accepting additional sponsors for the Race to the 4th. The packages include multiple levels with exciting opportunities that will yield a far reach within the Homestead community and surrounding areas. Sponsors will have brand recognition throughout various elements surrounding the event and opportunities to display their partnership. The full sponsorship package and more can be found at www.cityofhomestead.com/July4 or by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department at (305) 224-4570.
