In honor of the dedication and hard work daily performed by The City of Homestead Solid Waste department, Councilman Jimmie L. Williams, III presented certificates of appreciation and a restaurant gift card to every Homestead Solid Waste employee during a special presentation at the April 17 Homestead City Council meeting.
It is my esteemed pleasure tonight to honor and recognize one of the most valuable departments here in the City of Homestead.” said Councilman Williams. “This token of appreciation seeks to recognize the hard work that these individuals do every day to keep our city clean. Sometimes we fail to give honor were honor is due and thank those who sacrifice to make the City of Homestead one of the cleanest cities in Miami-Dade County.”
Councilman Williams, who is the Council’s liaison to the City’s Solid Waste Division, expressed that April being Solid Waste and Recycle Month was a great opportunity for this department to be recognized for their imperative work as well as their new initiatives to increase recycling and bulk pick up dates, and purchase new equipment that allows them to work efficiently.
Councilman Williams presented a certificates of recognition to Solid Waste Manager Milton Bailey, Field Supervisor James French, Coordinator Leslie Beauvoir, Administrative Assistant Ana Paneque, and staff members Alti Baldallaque, Bonita Brinson, Johnny Callaway, Ricardo Charlton, Randall Dennis, Dale Harris, Charles Hill, Anthony Holmes, John Jetter, Youry Joseph, Antonio Madruga, Eric Martin, Willian Martinez, Jesus Marquez, Raymond McCray, Donnell Morant, Juan Pena, Godfrey Rolle, Rafael Sanchez, Eugene Smith, Luis Torres, Roberto Vidales, Dwayne West, Jose White, Anthony Wilson, Eric Woods, Archie Wurts, Trevin Wyche, and Oriole Zamor.
