Dozens of local children will step into the first day of school with confidence thanks to Councilwoman Patricia Fairclough’s “Best Foot Forward” event. The VIP shoe shopping experience will take place on Saturday, August 4th at 9AM. Participants must reside within the City of Homestead and must register in advance at www.cityofhomestead.com/bestfoot.
“There are so many things a child needs to be successful at school—books, backpacks, pens, pencils—but we often forget about other necessities like clothes and shoes,” said Councilwoman Fairclough. “That’s why I’m so proud of this program that takes it a "step" further to help our local families.”
