[ARCHIVED] Councilwoman Patricia Fairclough McCormick Recognizes Books & Bicycles Supporters

Last December, for the second year in a row, Councilwoman Patricia-Fairclough-McCormick awarded books and bicycles to dozens of Homestead children whose families are currently going through economic hardship. The 2012 Books & Bicycle Giveaway was made possible with the help of various local businesses and organizations that donated the necessary resources to make this important program a success.

“This program offers our children the gift of education as well as the gift of recreation,” said Councilwoman Fairclough-McCormick. “Our community once again came together to make sure many children in need can have the opportunity to read and live a healthy life.
