The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) is hosting two interactive workshops about the future of rapid transit near Homestead. The discussions will focus on the South Corridor Rapid Transit Project, a route that spans from Homestead to the Dadeland South Metrorail Station, that could see major transit improvements. It is one of six Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) corridors currently under evaluation for travel and mobility needs. The workshops are set for the following days and times:

- Wednesday, October 25, 2017, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Southland Mall, Fountain Area Enter and park near DSW and Ulta 20505 South Dixie Highway, Miami, FL 33189
The workshops will follow an open-house format, allowing participants to arrive at any time between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. No formal presentation will be given, but guests can visit eight different information stations, and DTPW representatives will be available to answer any questions.
