The approaching Homestead General Election is set for November 7 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. All registered voters can cast a ballot at their respective precincts on that Tuesday. Voters can find their precinct and view sample ballots at www.cityofhomestead.com/voterinfo.
Residents normally assigned to vote at the Phichol Williams Community Center will need to cast ballots at West Homestead Elementary (1550 SW 6 Street, Homestead, FL 33030). This temporary polling place is the same location used during the Primary Election due to current renovations underway at the community center.
Residents who choose to vote by mail (through an absentee ballot) can mail or drop of their ballots to the Miami-Dade Elections Department (2700 NW 87 Ave., Doral, FL 33172) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, but ballots must be received no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day (November 7, 2017). The last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot (absentee ballot) is Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 5 p.m. You can email, fax, call or write your request using the information at www.miamidade.gov/elections.
