Homestead Police Chief Al Rolle recognized Manny Figueroa on his promotion as a detective for his consistent and dedicated work at a special presentation during the December City council meeting.
“On behalf of Mayor Steven C. Bateman, the council members, myself, and the Homestead Police Department, we appreciate Detective Figueroa for his continuous work around the City of Homestead,” said Homestead Police Chief Alexander E. Rolle, during the special presentation of the city council meeting held on December 12th.
Detective Figueroa has been a reserved officer for eight years, working for a $1 a year salary. Last year, the Mayor and the council members honored Detective Figueroa for his devoted time in the investigation of a fellow officer. This upcoming May in Washington, D.C. at the Police Memorial, Detective Figueroa will be highly recognized for his well-regarded hard work.
“Chief Rolle, Mayor Bateman, council members, and guest; I would like to thank you all very much,” said Detective Figueroa after receiving his new detective badge. “With this distinguished honor, I will continue to make you very proud.”
