[ARCHIVED] City of Homestead Extends Curfew as Hurricane Irma Arrives

The City of Homestead has issued a curfew extending from 8PM on Sunday September 10, 2017 until 6AM Monday, September 11, 2017.  Issuing this curfew allows the City of Homestead and Homestead Police Department to adequately protect the safety of residents and property.  Persons outside after the curfew will be stopped and may be subject to arrest if they do not have a valid emergency purpose for being outside.  The City of Homestead continues to monitor the progress of Hurricane Irma and urges all residents to remain cautious.

La Ciudad de Homestead ha emitido un toque de queda que se extiende desde las 8 de la noche el domingo 10 de septiembre de 2017 hasta las 6 AM del lunes 11 de septiembre de 2017. La emisión de este toque de queda permite a la Ciudad de Homestead y el Departamento de Policía de Homestead proteger adecuadamente la seguridad de los residentes y bienes. Las personas afuera después del toque de queda serán detenidas y pueden ser arrestadas si no tienen un propósito de emergencia válido para estar fuera. La Ciudad de Homestead continúa monitoreando el progreso del Huracán Irma e insta a todos los residentes a permanecer cautelosos.
