The regularly scheduled quarterly siren test of the Turkey Point Nuclear Plant’s warning sirens will be tested on Friday, September 1st at approximately 1pm and it will last about 20 minutes from start to finish.
These tests are conducted regularly to assure that the system is functioning properly. In the event of a real event, information about the incident and protective action (if necessary) would be communicated via regular media outlets.
Please note that the recorded message played over the siren system during tests has changed. The announcements will now be in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.
