Councilwoman Patricia Fairclough-McCormick is organizing her annual Books and Bicycles Christmas Giveaway. This year’s goal is to donate 100 bicycles and 100 books to children throughout Homestead in celebration of Homestead’s Centennial.
To achieve this goal Councilwoman Fairclough-McCormick is asking for the support of the Homestead business community and others interested in contributing to this worthy cause.
“Many families throughout our community are going through tough economic times and will not be able to get their children any Christmas gifts this year,” said Councilwoman Fairclough-McCormick. “This is why I am asking the community to help me achieve this goal and together we will give 100 kids a bicycle so they can play and exercise and books to feed their mind and imagination during the Christmas break.”
