The Homestead Mayor’s Youth Council needs the support of our community. In order to fund the flights for their annual educational experience in New York City, they have pledged to sell 100 trees by December 14th through the Buy A Tree. Change A Life. campaign.

“Buy A Tree. Change A Life. helps children locally and globally and part of that local effort is helping the Mayor’s Youth Council get to New York,” said Councilwoman Patricia Fairclough, the Mayor’s Youth Council Liaison. “With the support from the city and community, we know that we will meet our goal.”
Buy A Tree. Change A Life. is a nonprofit organization made up of a group of people who care about the needs of disadvantaged children in our own community, as well as throughout the world. They partner with other groups who share the same passion and set up yearly Christmas tree tents.
Last year, the residents of Homestead, Florida raised over $30,000 through this campaign. That money provided youth in our community with college scholarships, Christmas presents, back-to-school supplies, and temporary financial aid for families who experienced joblessness due to severe illness. Additionally, the funds helped support education, food, housing, and care in some amazing children's homes in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
100% of the proceeds received from tree sales fund the local and global efforts.
