About the Committee

The Southwest Advisory Commitee (SWAC) was established by the City of Homestead as an advisory board pursuant to Resolution 2008-06-18.  The SWAC's main goal is the enhancement of the quality of life in the Soutwest area of Homestead.  Board members are appointed to two-year terms pursuant to procedures set forth in the City Charter.

Census 2020 - Homestead Counts!

You should have already received an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census.  Your response affects how much funding our community receives for public services and even your representation in Congress.  So, your response counts!

For the first time ever, this Census will accept online and phone responses, but you can still respond by mail if you prefer. Respond now at www.2020census.gov!

Monthly Meetings

Join the Southwest Advisory Committee for its monthly meetings at the Phichol Williams Community Center located at 951 Southwest 4th Street, Homestead, FL 33030. Meetings begin at 5:30PM.  Please note that due to COVID-19 meetings are being conducted virtually at this time.
