How to Rent a Facility

Whom to Call

  • Please call the Parks & Recreation main office at (305) 224-4570 to check availability for the park or field of your choice.
  • Please call the William F. “Bill” Dickinson Community Center at (305) 245-4934 to check availability for the banquet hall.

Download the rental application. All rentals must be made in person and all fees (deposit and rental with taxes) are due at time of rental. At the current time we are only accepting cash, money order, or cashier’s checks as forms of payment.


Get Insured If Necessary

General Liability Insurance is required to rent:

Any event that takes place on City of Homestead property would require a Certificate of Insurance, listing the City of Homestead as additional insured. Prior to the issuance of an event, proof of an insurance company licensed to do business in the State of Florida is required, protecting the license and the city from all claims for damages to property and bodily injury or in connection with the license. Such insurance shall be at least in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000) for injury of each occurrence and one million dollars ($1,000,000) per person.


Police Presence

A police contract may be required for the Harris Field Barn Pavilion and Losner Park only. All events are subject to City of Homestead Police approval. If off-duty officers are required, the customer must coordinate with Homestead Police prior to renting the facility and a copy of the paid invoice must be submitted to the Parks office. Contact the Police Department at (305) 224-5551.

Facilities Available for Rent

Baseball Fields

  • General Public – Day Use $17.50 per hour / Night Use $24.50 per hour / $40 field prep
  • Non-Profit – Day Use $11.25 per hour / Night Use $18.25 per hour / $25 field prep
  • Tournament Rates - $30.00 per day game / $40.00 per night game / $100 per field deposit (not to exceed $500 deposit)

       Details:

  1. Organized use requires insurance (over 10 people or multiple rentals)
  2. Tournaments must cover OT staff cost for tournament staffing
  3. Tournaments must be booked with deposit a minimum of two weeks in advance.

Soccer / Football Fields

  • General Public – Day Use $60.00 per hour / Night Use $75.00 per hour / $50 field prep
  • Non-Profit – Day Use $50.00 per hour / Night Use $65.00 per hour / $50 field prep

        Details:

  1. Organized use requires insurance (over 10 people or multiple rentals)

Track and Field Lane Rental - Blakey Park

  • $5 per lane per hour

Pickleball Tournament Fees - JD Redd Park

  • General Public - $90 per hour, per pair of tennis courts
  • Resident/Non-Profit - $75 per hour, per pair of tennis courts

Harris Field Stadium

  • Non-Profit $1,300.00 / For-Profit $2,000.00 / Deposit $1,000.00

       Details:

  1. Must provide insurance
  2. Must provide recommended police coverage by FOP (Homestead Police Only)

Mayor Roscoe Warren Park

  • Pavilion 1-5, and 7 - $75.00 rental and $100.00 deposit
  • Pavilion 6 - $135.00 rental and $100.00 deposit

           Details:

  1. Bounce house only allowed at shelter 3.  Must provide insurance and generator.
  2. 2 10x10 tents are allowed with your rental.
  3. No items can be set-up in the retention ponds.

 JD Redd Park

  • Pavilion - $35 for 5 hours / $70.00 for all day rental and $100.00 deposit

       Details:

  1.  Bounce house allowed.  Must provide insurance and generator.

James Archer Smith Park

  • Pavilion - $75.00 rental and $100.00 deposit

        Details:

  1.  Bounce house allowed.  Must provide insurance and generator.

Angelo Mistretta Park

  • Pavilion - $70.00 rental and $100.00 deposit

Harris Field Pavilion

  • Non-Profit - $340.00 rental and $500.00 deposit
  • Profit - $488.00 rental and $500.00 deposit

       Details:

  1. Must provide insurance
  2. Must provide recommended police coverage by FOP (Homestead Police Only)

Roby George Park

  • Pavilion - $35 for 5 hours / $70.00 for all day rental and $100.00 deposit
  • Basketball Pavilion - $70.00 rental for first two hours, $20.00 each addt hour and $500.00 deposit

       Details:

  1. Bounce house allowed.  Must provide insurance and generator.
  2. Basketball pavilion only rented for basketball events.  Must provide insurance.

Phichol Williams Community Center

  • Main Hall (4 Hours) – Resident $400.00, Non-Resident $600.00, Non-Profit $200.00, For-Profit $800.00
  • Main Hall – Additional Hours $100.00 each / Main Hall Deposit $500.00
  • Single Room - $25.00 per hour / $100.00 deposit

       Details:

  1. Must provide insurance for main hall rentals
  2. Must provide recommended police coverage by FOP (Homestead Police Only) for main hall rentals
  3. Liquor insurance required for any rental if alcohol is being served

Losner Park

  • Non-Profit Free Event - $750
  • Non-Profit Ticketed Event - $1,500
  • General Free Event - $1,000
  • General Ticketed Event - $2,500

        Details:

  1. Must provide insurance
  2. Must provide recommended police coverage by FOP (Homestead Police Only)

William F. Dickinson Community Center

  • Banquet Hall (4 Hours) – Resident $600.00, Non-Resident $700.00, Non-Profit $500.00, Member $500.00, For-Profit $900.00
  • Banquet Hall Additional Hour - $125.00 per hour  /  Banquet Hall Deposit - $500.00
  • Banquet Hall Early Set-up - $250.00
  • Kitchen Fee - $250.00 rental
  • Small Room - $50.00 per hour /  $25.00 per hour non-profit /  $100.00 deposit

       Details:

  1. Must provide insurance for main hall rentals
  2. Must provide recommended police coverage by FOP (Homestead Police Only) for main hall rentals
  3. Liquor insurance required for any rental if alcohol is being served

Sports Complex

  • Event Area $1,000 daily / Deposit $1,000

       Details:

  1. Must provide insurance
