Vice Mayor Sean L. Fletcher

Current & Previous Experience

Vice Mayor Sean L. Fletcher was elected to a two-year term in November 2023 as Vice Mayor. He was previously elected to a four-year term to represent Council Seat #2, which includes the city’s Keys Gate area in November 2019 and was reelected in November 2023. He previously served on the Homestead City Council during 1999-2001.

Biographical Information

Fletcher is a former reserve police sergeant and trustee of the Police Officer Pension Board. After 30 years of service, he retired from Florida Power & Light’s (FPL) Turkey Point power plant and currently works for X-energy, an advanced nuclear reactor and fuel design engineering company.
