Project SOS, a Homestead Police Department initiative, integrates law enforcement with human services to meet the needs of Homestead area residents. The combined agency efforts provide safety, independence and an improved quality of life for the entire community. The Homestead Police Department works closely with local schools and all community and state agencies to deliver services effectively and efficiently. In the past, funding has been strictly through grants and in-kind donations. We are proud to introduce our First Annual Heart & Soles Run/Walk and hope that you will join us to make our community better than ever.

SOS assistance includes:

  • Child abuse and neglect
  • Sexual abuse and exploitation
  • Substance abuse
  • Domestic violence
  • Ungovernable children
  • Mental health services
  • Housing
  • Parenting
  • Elder abuse and neglect
  • Missing or runaway children
  • Homelessness
