“As the City of Homestead continues to grow, our Police Department will continue to grow as well, and we always want to recognize and foster the tremendous talent in our ranks by promoting from within,” said Mayor Porter. “Captain DeJohn is going to be a valuable resource to the Department and the City.”

At the podium with Captain DeJohn, Major Scott Kennedy recognized him as bringing a wealth of experience in law enforcement. Chief of Police Alexander Rolle added, “Captain DeJohn is exactly what we have been looking for, with his burst of energy and experience. We try to get the best of the best and he is definitely going to be an asset to our command and the department and the City of Homestead.”
